Whipped body butter

Body butter can be made from different types of butter – shea butter, cocoa butter , aloe butter, mango butter and others. You can also use different types of oils – olive oil, almond oil , avocado oil, etc.

The recipe below is a very simple basic recipe to use as a basis for your personal experiments. You can change the ingredients in the recipe and make body butter that meets your exact requirements. After this recipe, you will make a whipped and skin-friendly whipped body butter.

320 ml of shea butter

120 ml base oil

1 tsp. Vitamin E (acts as a preservative, but may not be used)

from 10 to 30 drops of essential oil (depending on the chosen essential oil)

Melt this butter in a water bath until it has a liquid consistency, then slowly add the selected base oil and stir it, allow it to cool to ~ 45 ° C, do not allow it to layer, stirring occasionally using a spatula or frother. When the butter has cooled, add the essential oil and vitamin E (if desired).

Then take a frothing spatula or whisk and beat the butter well until it has an airy consistency. Make sure the essential oils and vitamin E are thoroughly mixed in the butter.

When choosing an essential oil, use those that you like, but do not forget to look at the healing and other properties of these oils. In this way, it is possible to prepare the most suitable body butter, for example, for dry or oily skin, etc.

When you have reached the desired consistency of the butter, fill it with a spoon in a closed container with a lid. It is best to use an opaque or dark glass dish. Store in a cool, dark place.

Good luck and skin pleasure 🙂
