Lip balms can be prepared in a variety of ways, using butter – cocoa or shea . You can also do without them.
We offer 2 types of recipes on how to make a moisturizing and healing lip balm that will help protect your lips not only from the sharp winter winds, but also from the strong spring and summer sun.
Recipe No.1
7-8 teaspoons base oil (Optional, such as peach , almond , grape or apricot kernel)
2 teaspoons beeswax
1 teaspoon honey
2-3 drops of essential oil or perfume (if the lip balm is intended for children, we do not recommend adding these ingredients)
Melt the beeswax and base oil in a water bath, remove from the heat and add honey. Mix everything thoroughly. If desired, add essential oil or perfume oil and fill in lipstick tubes or small cans.
Recipe No.2
10gr beeswax
15gr shea butter
15gr cocoa butter
~ 8gr base oil (will suit peach, grape, almond or apricot kernels)
2-3 drops of essential oil or perfume (if the lip balm is intended for children, we do not recommend adding these ingredients)
Melt the beeswax, shea butter, cocoa butter and base oil in a water bath. When everything has melted, mix it thoroughly. Remove from the heat, add the essential oil or perfume and mix thoroughly. Fill in lipstick tubes or small cans.
