Mandarin essential oil (Citrus reticulata)
Sweet, juicy smell. Relieves depression, stress and relaxes. Helps you fall asleep better and provides a peaceful night’s rest. Helps against nausea similar to ginger and mint essential oils.
Red mandarin essential oil has an antiseptic effect, which makes it valuable as a room spray. For this purpose you can mix it with other citrus oils, lavender and ylang-ylang .
Mandarin essential oil is used in soaps, cosmetics and perfumery as special colognes. It also works as a dye because it is dark orange or almost red.
Goes well with bergamot , orange , grapefruit , chamomile , sandalwood, cedar and neroli.

The oil is very gentle and is one of the few that can be used in young children and during pregnancy. It is often used in the midwife’s maternity room because mandarin essential oil calms the nervous system, has relaxing properties and helps reduce hyperactivity in children.
